Mind over matter.

Whenever I’m mulling over a particular roadblock in life, it’s usually nothing that a long run, a conversation with a close friend, a boxing session or yoga class can’t cure.  By tackling a problem head-on, I find that I accomplish more, procrastinate less and feel like I have more control over my life.

Typically, my distractions are nothing more than fear getting in the way of my dreams, my success.  Fear is nothing more than an internal roadblock, an emotion that can lead to hysteria.  Reality vs hype.  Once I face it, it turns on it’s heels and runs away.

Finding the calm is a learned talent for me — unhinged, I’m a drama queen.  For this reason, fitness is my daily affirmation to face fear directly, to not back down to the hype, to charge ahead into my unchartered territory of life.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
