Burger & Fries, please!

March 5, 2012

I’ve been craving a juicy burger lately, but I hate that post-indulgence feeling of bloat and regret. I share with you my yummy low-cal version of burger and fries.

What you’ll need:

3 whole sweet potatoes
drizzle olive oil
1lb ground chicken breast
1TBSP Worcestershire sauce
dried garlic & onion powder
nonstick spray
wholewheat english muffins

Cut up sweet potatoes into french-fry size and put in ziploc bag with a light drizzle of olive oil, pepper and sea salt. Shake until coated. Spread fries onto a single layer on a cookie sheet, bake for 30 minutes or until crispy and done.

In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken breast, Worcestershire sauce, dash of dried garlic & onion powder, sea salt & pepper to taste. Make 4-6 burger patties and cook stovetop, spraying pan with nonstick spray.

Serve on toasted whole-wheat english muffins (or ezekiel buns), top with avocado, pickle, lettuce and organic ketchup.

Think of me as you enjoy the aftermath of no regrets. YUM!!
